Successful Website Design
Marketing on the Internet starts with an effective website. A good website is much more than a pretty design – it needs to be well designed, well worded and well structured for search engines to present optimum value. At the same time, it must be designed with the ultimate goal in mind: converting visitors into prospects and converting prospects into buyers. All of these factors will have a bearing on the ultimate success of your website and online marketing campaign, so it’s important to get it right from the start to make sure you’re reaping maximum return from your marketing dollars.
Simplify Your Sales Process
I tried to order a product from a particular website recently. I did my research and found the product I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. I tried to use the shopping cart on this website and the trouble began. It took three attempts before the shopping cart recognized that I had indeed given it the quantity of the product to be purchased. The fact that I was patient enough to keep trying is more of a reflection of my stubbornness than of the good feelings or trust they had generated.
Anyway, once the shopping cart showed the correct information, I tried to check out. It kept sending me right back to the order page. After the third attempt I figured there was a problem and clicked on the contact page. I filled in the information concerning my problem placing my order and gave my contact information.
Avoiding Keyword Ranking Problems
When approaching SEO, there is something of a cult following which has succumbed to worshipping keywords at the Search Engines’ (SE) altar. The problem is that these words – which are hailed as the end-all be-all of SE ranking- are not always the most important in terms of what drives traffic. There are many ways in which you will be able to get even better results than when you have to utilize certain words for developing your website. The best thing to look at is all of the ways in which you can improve ranking without having to worry about the specific words you are using.
Along with looking at the keywords you are using, it is a good idea to pay attention to the reasons why using this strategy is a bit of an antiquated system for getting SE ranking. Just like you would not want to use an 8 bit video camera for video surveillance there is no reason to keep using old technology to draw people in to your website. You will be able to get better results while spending less as long as you are willing to make some changes.

Forum Marketing Tips
Posting on forums is one of the most effective ways to advertise your website or products online. However, in order to do this successfully, you must make every effort to first build your credibility on the forum. You shouldn’t sign up and immediately start an advertising-ish thread that contains your link. You will likely get banned from that forum board and you certainly won’t get any sales from it.
The more effective strategy of forum marketing involves creating multiple informative posts on a forum board before you even create a signature that includes a link to your website. Even if the particular forum you are using does not specifically mandate this, you may want to do this anyway as it will help to increase your credibility – which is your ultimate goal.
Profitable Reasons to Brand Yourself
Have you ever tried to hammer a nail with the heel of your shoe? I did once, when I was a kid and didn’t have a hammer handy. It can be done, but I can assure you, it’s difficult – very, very difficult. So too is trying to build a business without branding yourself.
So, what exactly is personal branding?
In essence, personal branding is the process by which business people differentiate themselves by identifying and effectively articulating what makes them different or unique from their competitors – what makes them stand out from the crowd – a sort of personal USP (Unique Selling Proposition), if you will. This is especially important if you’re a service provider in a competitive field.
Why is personal branding so important?
